REvamped v0.00 Released

A few years ago I was browsing the internet and ran into the "The Rise of Darkness" mod.  From what I know there are two versions of it, the first one for the ubisoft 2007 version made by Wizard, and then later on an user DeXiaZ made a new version for UHD. I've never played the original only the version made for UHD, overall it is an interesting idea despite the issues present.

A special mention goes to the sewer map (r205), the creepy sounds from Novistadors steps combined with the lack of light, completely changed the original experience. The mod had some issues though like a light source behind Leon all the time, in contrast with a pitch black environment, and the lack of a proper flashlight. It was when I started working on "Improved Lighting" mod as an experiment.

From what was learned with it, "Main Village Overhaul" was created, which was a simple expansion for r101 and r111 maps, adding new models and explorable area. I was still learning how to add collision, and deal with other files like RTP. It was still a playground to learn and explore before what was to come. "REvamped" started as an idea, born from this concept, but compiled into a single package, better lighting, expanded maps, and new content, because why not?

I started (and restarted) many areas, but never finished most of them. After some months my computer became a mess of folders and modding related tests spread all over the place, and I started getting lost in my own files. So I'm releasing this as a way to not lose the work that has been made, and to organize the project so I can keep track of issues and problems introduced with the changes.

This first release only presents the starting area, and a new custom mine ported from Resident Evil 5. As time goes on it may grow and become a solid mod, with more maps and content. It's just that my computer really has to be cleaned, before working on new content. It was not once or twice that I had to redo things that were already finished, just because I've lost them somewhere, and it was easier to recreate than search for it.

So I'll be polishing and uploading what I have to Nexus, to only then resume the project. There are a lot of temporary files, folders, recordings and multiple RE4 installations for tests that need to be deleted. I will use this opportunity to also share more making-off of the mod, which I find interesting, before deleting everything. The content will be tested and added with small updates, then merged to the Main Files once it's all done.

After this process I can start modding again (with a cleaner desktop I hope!). Consider it as a preview for now.
